In this project Albert Hera merges the results of his personal research on vocal experimentation and his roots as a saxophonist achieves the fascinating intent of "playing" the voice and "singing" the sax.
In a quite unusual ensemble (Marco Forgione on vocal drums and Massimo Celsi on keyboards) he performs vocal and instrumental arrangements of pieces by some of the leading authors of contemporary jazz-fusion (Petrucciani, Yellowjackets, Bobby McFerrin, Kurt Elling, etc.).
With the support of modern technology (loop station, groove machine, sub-harmonizer) the trio builds rich sound weaves that give new, vivid freshness to modern classics. Building on years of experience in Circlesongs performances, the artist also declines the project in an original choral formulation involving the chorus (and the audience...) in extemporary vocal arrangements of the repertoire.
