Brooklyn born guitarist, singer, songwriter...Bluesman, Jaime
Dolce has been playing professionally since 1990...Years
of gigging in New York City as front man of Innersole and
as lead guitarist of the Mason Casey

Mason Casey still calls
Jaime his “
Blues Brother” and favorite guitarist,
always encouraging him to take his classic yet modern style
further..
Jaime played all the New York City Blues & Rock
dives in the '90's..from
Dan Lynch to
Nightingale Bar, Manny's Car Wash, the Bitter End, St.Marks

compaired to Jimi Hendrix, Living Colour, Stevie Ray Vaughan,

In 1998 Jaime released his first record
PURPLE
BLUES, recorded in Brooklyn N.Y. with Dan Hickey
on drums & Dean
Zucchero (Popa Chubby) on Bass.
In March 1998 Jaime found
himself touring through Italy..Leading Innersole all over
the boot..this time with two new “Sole Brothers”,
drummer
Matteo Sodini and bassist
Stefano
Castelli..from
Festivals in Switzerland to Sicily...
In 1999:
Pistoia Blues
Festival opening for
Lucky
Peterson, Johnny Lang, Deep Purple.
In 2000:
Alcamo Blues Festival opening for The Mick Taylor
All Star Band (lead guitarist of John Mayal's Blues Breakers,
Rolling Stones..);
Bologna Blues festival opening for Nine
Below Zero and even a small tour backing up Mick Abrahams
(guitarist of Blodwyn Pig and Jethro Tull).
In 2005 after
having seen Jaime Dolce’s Innersole! Live, Zucchero
Sugar Fornaciari himself invited Jaime&the band over
to his Louisiana home to jam on some new ideas and to play
as special guests at the “
2005
Zucchero fan club raduno” in
Modena (Italy) where Zucchero himself came out to introduce
the band...
In 2006 he was asked to join the
Davide Van De Sfroos Band (a well known italian folk/rock songwriter from Como) as lead guitarist. He had the honor of being in that band with blues harmonica hero
Sugar Blue (Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Willie Dixon)
With the Davide Van De Sfroos Band they played the 2006
French Quarter Festival in New Orleans (USA), S.Severino Blues (Italy), The Smeraldo Theatre (Milan, Italy), Palabasket Bellinzona (Switzerland), Rock & Folk Festival Chiasso (Switzerland), Palamazda Milano (8,000 people).
They were regularly playing sold out shows to 3,000 to 5,000 people. He played on Davide's album
Pica (2007). After playing out the rest of the summer with Van De Sfroos & gigging with Innersole Jaime decided it was time to leave Davide's band and get back to America.
Back home he worked with various rhythm sections. Aside from reuniting with
Dan Hickey (everyone from Joe Cocker to John Paris to they might be giants, The B-52s, Cindy Lauper…) on drums, they also had (when possible)
Jeremy Baum (Shameka Copeland and many others) on Hammond Organ, sometimes
Eric Udell (The Blues Brothers, Mike Stern, Matt Guitar Murphy and many more) on bass and great drummers such as
Lee Finkelstein (The Blues Brothers, Tower of Power, Funk Filharmonic...),
Victo Jones (Chaka Khan) and
Adrian Harpham (drums, the Meters, Lucy Pearl and just about everyone else).
In 2008 he released
Peaches and soon after he made his way back to Italy…touring again with italian "
sole brothers"
Matteo Sodini on drums and
Stefano Casteli.
June 15, 2011 they released
Sometimes Now. Produced by Carlo Poddighe and Andrea Poddighe it is for sure the most fun he've ever had recording, they all had a great time and you can hear it in the music.
Recorded at
Poddighe studios in Brescia, Italy with Matteo Sodini on drums, Stefano Castelli on bass, them new keyboard player
Filippo Buccianelli and many other special guests including
Carlo Poddighe and Cek Deluxe, Alex Ricci playing lap Steele guitar on a cover of Joe Cocker's Mad Dogsand Englishmen's (really by Matthew Moore) "
Space Captain".
